In 2001, The Brentwood Foundation awarded its first grant in the amount of $500.  To date, the Foundation has awarded over $40,000 to the students, faculty and staff of the Brentwood School District.  The following is a brief listing of what some of the grants have supported:

Student Awards:

~Cultural Leadership-
provided funds for student participation in a cultural leadership program.
~Missouri Association of Student Council-
provided funding to attend the Summer Leadership Institute.
~Purchase of camcorder to film and edit French speaking activities
~Duke University TIP program- provided assistance to attendance the Duke University TIP program to study psychology.
~International Thespian Conference- provided funds to attend the International Thespian Conference.

Faculty and Staff Awards:

~Transportation expenses for  the Elementary Music class trip to the St. Louis Symphony at Powell Hall
~Transportation expenses for the Freshmen class trip to the Lincoln Museum in Springfield, IL
~Outdoor Classroom Pergola- provided funding to build a pergola at the McGrath Outdoor Classroom.
~Architecture- Building Design and Construction - provided funding to build a shed for sports teams and a playhouse to raise money for CASA.
~Potter's Wheel for the Art Class- Provided funding for additional potter's wheel for the art department.
~Dovetail and Finger Joinery- Provided funding for equipment for the Industrial Arts program.
~Introduction to Digital Photography- provided cameras and software for art students to compose and edit pictures.
